The 8th International Technology, Education and Development Conference (INTED2014) is a platform for international experts to discuss the latest developments in the technologies and methodologies of teaching and learning. We invite you to submit your abstracts and participate in the conference.
INTED2014 provides the ideal opportunity to present projects and experiences in the fields of learning and teaching methodologies, educational innovations, e-learning and new technologies applied to education, technology and development.
There will be two types of presentations:
- In person: oral and poster presentations.
- Virtually: for those who cannot attend in person.
The conference will produce two ISBN publications. All of the accepted contributions will be included in the IATED Digital Library of innovative education and techology projects. The conference proceedings will be included in Google Scholar and sent for review to be included in the ISI Conference Proceedings Citation Index. The deadline to submit an abstract is 5 December, 2013.
Joel Josephson was invited in April 2013 to give a talk at a TEDx event in Tel-Aviv (Israel), organised by the Kibbutzim College of Education. This British consultant is involved in changing education with holistic projects funded by the European Union.
In his TEDx conference Mr Josephson spoke on the possible future shape of education as a Creative Classroom and how some of the EU Lifelong Learning Projects (LLP) he has initiated or is involved in are using the arts and music to achieve future learning strategies.
A unique simultaneous concert will be held live across five European countries: UK, Turkey Finland, Romania and Spain. School choirs at each venue will perform FolkDc songs, and will be streamed over the internet on 23 April 2013 (times in your area are available on the website).

Resource for Teachers
The project has prepared an autonomous teacher kit that can be used to motivate and engage early language learners. The kit is available on the project website at: http://folkdc.eu/overview/
The EU transversal aPLaNet project, has been nominated for a global Edublogs award. This is a great opportunity for the dissemination of aPLaNet but also for the whole LLP programme in gaining global recognition of the work that is going on, at a European level, in education.

ARTinED - A new approach to education using the arts’, is a European Union funded education project that is designing innovative methodologies to add the arts and creativity in to primary schools as a key component of every school subject.
