For National Library Week, Oxford University Press is giving free access to its online resources

In celebration of National Library Week, Oxford University Press is making all of its online resources freely available for this week only!

The American Library Association celebrates National Library Week annually in the USA to recognize the vital importance of libraries as a source of knowledge and intellectual discovery in their communities. For its part in the event, the Oxford University Press is offering free access to its online resources until April 19, 2014.

Users can sign in with the following credentials:

  • Username: libraryweek
  • Password: libraryweek

Some of the resources available include:

Oxford Bibliographies - authoritative research guides on a wide range of subjects

Very Short Introductions - as the title suggests, it is a series of short introductions to different topics from expert authors

Oxford Art Online - a gateway to multiple excellent art reference sources

Social Explorer - a powerful data visualisation tool to explore 220 years of demographic data in the USA.

This is only a small sample of the resources available. To see the full list, visit the Oxford University Press website.
